Artorima erubescens is an species in the genus Artorima.

Description[]

Plant blooms from winter to early spring with six to a hundred flowers. Flowers are 3.5 cm wide and fragrant. This plant was separated from the genus Epidendrum because of its T shaped slit on the stigma.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing the evergreen cloud forests of Oaxaca and Guerrero, Mexico at elevations of 2400 to 3100 meters

Culture[]

Plants are grown in cool to cold conditions with shade to moderate light. They are best grown mounted on cork or bark with sphagnum moss. Plants should be watered regularly. Keep the mix moist but not wet. The plant can also take dryouts between waterings. Keep the plant in an area with good air circulation. Plant is difficult to grow due to the cool nighttime temperatures in the situ.
