Cochlioda vulcanica is an epiphytic orchid from the genus Cochlioda.
Description[]
Plants bloom from summer to fall with six to eight 4 cm wide flowers. Flowers are pollinated by humming birds.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on cliff faces in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 1400 to 3000 meters
Culture[]
Grow plants in cool temperatures in moderate light. Water plant when mix drys. During the winter give plants a slight dryout between waterings. Water approximately once a week. Pot with medium fir bark.
