Dracula pusilla is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Dracula.

Description[]

Plant blooms in the fall with a single 2 cm wide flower.

It was first described by Rolfe in 1893 from a plant that flowered in the botanical gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing in tall mossy trees and wet branches in the cloud forest in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters.

Culture[]

Keep plant in partial shade. Plant can be grown in intermediate conditions. Pot the plant in fine bark with perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly and keep potting media moist.
