Masdevallia ionocharis is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Masdevallia.
Description[]
A medium sized Masdevallia with paddle shaped leaves and flowers held on erect peduncles at or just above the level of the leaves. Plant blooms in the summer with a single 2.5 cm wide flower.
Distribution[]
Found in Peru at elevations of 2700 to 3300 meters
Culture[]
Grow in cool temperatures. Can be grown potted in sphagnum moss. The medium it is grown in should be kept moist.
