Paphiopedilum callosum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the spring with a single 10 cm wide flower.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on the cloud forest floor in leaf litter and rocks in the Loei province of Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand at elevations of 340 to 1000 meters. The area is subjected to heavy rains from spring to fall. Winter is humid with heavy mist during the evening.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with moderately bright light and intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming reduce watering in the spring and winter.
