Plant blooms in the spring with a single 7.5 cm wide flower.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing in lime soil, mossy trees, and limestone ditches in tall grass of South India at elevations of 1500 to 1800 meters. The area is subjected to heavy rains in the summer and heavy fog in the winter.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Species can tolerate many different potting mediums. Water regularly about every four to five days.
