Paphiopedilum glaucophyllum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the spring with two continually developing 8 cm wide flowers. Flowers open one by one and blooming occurs over months.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing in moss, leaf litter, and on limestone rocks west Java, and Mount Semeru, Indonesia at elevations of 200 to 700 meters. The area is subjected to short rains from summer to fall and heavy rains from late fall to early spring.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with bright light oe partial shade and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water when soil is starting to dry out. Give large amounts of light and water during the summer. Plant is resistant to stale and sour conditions. To induce blooming, give a brief rest during the fall by reducing watering.
