Paphiopedilum hangianum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the spring with a single 9 to 12 cm flower. Flowers are fragrant with a sweet scent.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on limestone slopes on cliffs in Yunnan China and North Vietnam at 460 to 760 meters. The habitat is wet during the summer and dry and humid during winter.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with bright light and intermediate temperatures. Pot in medium fir bark and perlite. To induce blooming reduce watering in the winter and lower the temperature by to around 40°F. The plant is very slow growing.
