Paphiopedilum lowii is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the spring with three 7.5 to 14 cm wide flowers.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on mossy trees or large rocks usually near water in Borneo, Sumatra, Java, and Indonesia at elevations of 200 to 1700 meters. The area is subjected to light rain in the winter and heavy rain in the summer.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with moderately to bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming reduce watering in the winter. The plant is able to tolerate different conditions and mixes.
