Paphiopedilum parishii is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms mostly in the summer with eight 7.5 cm wide flowers.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on large branches of tress, in mossy rocks, or on fern roots in northern Thailand, Burma(Myanmar), and Yunnan China at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters. The area is subjected to fog and drizzles from winter to spring and heavy rains from summer to fall. Winter is the coldest season and spring is the hottest season.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly about every four to five days. Reduce watering during the winter and lower temperatures for two to three weeks to induce blooming.
