Paphiopedilum rothschildianum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the spring with typically 2 to 4 flowers (up to 6), with a petal spread of 14 to 30 cm wide.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on serpentine and in leaf litter and grasses in the montane forest of Sabah, Borneo at elevations of 460 to 850 meters. The area is subjected to heavy rain in the summer through winter and a humid and hot spring.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with moderate to bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming subject the plant to bright light and in cool temperatures.
