Paphiopedilum vietnamense is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.

Description[]

Plant blooms from early winter to spring with a single 10 to 12 cm flower. The habitat is dry and humid from late fall to early spring and receives heavy rain from spring to early fall.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing on primary forest on cliffs in Northern Vietnam at elevation of 350 to 1400 meters.

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in areas with moderately light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in medium fir bark and perlite. To induce blooming reduce watering in the winter for four to six nights. While blooming, more shade will produce darker and longer lasting flowers.
