Paphiopedilum wilhelminae is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.
Description[]
Plant blooms at various seasons with two to three flowers.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on clay, leaf litter, and limestone in snowy mountains og Irian Jaya Indonesia at elevations of 1500 to 1800 meters. The area is subjected to medium rainfall in the summer with the heaviest rainfall in the spring. In the winter the area has the least rain but high humidity.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with moderate to bright light and cool to intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming keep temperatures low in the summer and reduce watering. When dividing the plant make sure divisions have a lots of roots or they will not develop.
