Plant blooms from early winter to spring with several 3 cm flowers.
Phalaenopsis maculata was first flowered in 1881 in the Veitch establishment, from the collection by Curtis.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing on limestone hills and mossy trees in Borneo and Sulawesi at elevations of 0 to 1000 meters
Culture[]
Grow in intermeidiate to warm temperatures. Pot in medium fir bark and keep in partial shade. Water about once a week. Keep plant fairly moist but not wet.
