==Description==
Plant flowers in the spring with up to seventy 4 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.
This species was first discovered in Sikkim by Gustav Mann in May of 1868. The species was then dried and sent to Reichenbach who described it in 1871.

Plants growing on trees near water in valleys and evergreen forest of Indian Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanamar, southern China and Vietnam at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters
