Also I don't think Sophronitis purpurata is a great Eurythermal Orchid since it cant survive well in the cold winters that well when compared to Laelia anceps. Once it gets around 43°C we start seeing some minor development problems in S. purpurata (cold burns).

:::Personally, I don't worry about taxonomy issues. In terms of this website, what's important is that people are able to find the article that they are looking for whether they search for [[Laelia purpurata]] or [[Sophronitis purpurata]]. My recommendation would be to have synonyms redirect to accepted names.
