Vanda cristata is a species in the genus Vanda.

Description[]

Plant blooms from spring to summer with two to six 5 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.

Distribution[]

Plants grow on mossy trees in montane forests of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan and Xizang China at elevations of 600 to 2300 meters

Culture[]

Plants are best grown in hanging baskets or mounted and require bright to full sunlight and warm temperatures. If hung in baskets, the roots must be watered frequently. Plants should be grown in well-draining media such as tree fern fibers (for small plants), several pieces of coarse fir bark, coconut fiber, or sphagnum moss.
