Vanilla polylepis is found in Zaire, Kenya, Angola, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe growing in warm forest and climbing on trees at elevations around 1200 to 1500 meters.

Keep plant in intermediate to warm temperatures in shade. Plant is grown in shade and require a lots of space for climbing. Plant can be mounted or grown in bark. Water regularly
